The Master of Science program in Neuroengineering (MSNE) at the Technical University of Munich is a two-year graduate program, with an optional Research Excellence Certificate, hosted by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Center of Competence on Neuroengineering. The programme is interdisciplinary and combines experimental and theoretical neuroscience with profound training in engineering.The programme is designed with an optional Research Excellence Certificate (additional 30 ECTS). The curriculum is innovative in the sense that all mandatory modules include hands-on implementation of acquired knowledge in small-team projects with tight supervision to ensure the students are able to apply the relevant methods and techniques.this offers mandatory set of core courses to cover all basic aspects of neuroengineering from brain anatomy to neuro-recording, electronics, and computational processing; thereby MSNE students gain a rich toolbox and a deep understanding of neuroengineering concepts, despite the breadth of the field.

There are zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However, all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 147.40€ ( 154.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university that is rated H+ at Anabin in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Bio-Medical Engineering, Psychology with an Engineering minor, or a similar degree.
- Proof of english proficiency by scoring in TOFEL or IELTS.
- Selection takes place through an aptitude assessment procedure. Aptitude assessment is a two-part procedure after the submission of an official application to a program. In this procedure, the TUM school or department determines whether you meet the specific requirements for its master’s degree program.
- GRE score is not mandatory.

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.
To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.
