Campus Life

The campus of NTU was beautiful, TUM-Asia wasnt much of a campus but a building, so we used NTU facilities on a daily basis.

NTU provided the accommodation or you could look for one yourself .. costs about 400-800 SGD per month

Campus Life

Garching Campus is huge !! A river flows through it :P There are a lot of clubs in TUM and to be a part of any one of them you simply need to ask the corresponding members (and maybe apply if there are too many students who are applying to be a member of the same club). Garching Campus Library is the most extensive library on all of TUM's campuses. The campus has a basketball court, football court, table tennis, beach volleyball etc. Munich already has a lot of fests such as Oktober fest. But many events are organised by the TUM community such as hackathons, business games etc.

For stay, students either search for student-dorms, but the waiting time is 3 to 4 semesters or even more (some get it some don't), others search for shared apartments or studios on websites such as wg-gesucht.de or maybe approach housing anywhere (costly) or even Airbnb(costly). Note that TUM does not offer on-campus housing. In Munich, food + housing would cost you anywhere around 400 to 800 euros depending on your rent. The cheaper the rent the lower your cost of living goes. So I would say around 500 euros is pretty normal. But people manage with less also and there are people who spend more also. TUM does have a mess where you can have your lunch but again nothing is free. You would have to pay for the food.

On-campus accommodation is hard to get and the accommodation outside is quite expensive.

TUM is the best technical university with diverse faculty and with various research opportunities.

Flatshare types are the most common. If you're taking this course the campus is 40kms away from Munich and the rent is lower maybe 300-350 euros on average. With higher rent, you get many better-furnished rooms or close proximity to the campus.

It was the best university in Germany for the last 6 years and is also internationally recognized. TUM provided the best opportunities for students to get their dream job or further strengthen their research skills. This particular program caught my eye because sustainability is the way forward in the coming years and my interest was always in making sustainable societies with judicious resource use.

Student union dorms, personal co sharing. Munich is a very costly place to live in.

Excellent academic, wide variety of courses, research oriented and very very less tuition fees.

I stayed in a student hostel which provided all the necessary things for a living situation like a nearby supermarket and malls to make any important purchase.

It is a well-reputed university with well-maintained labs to get hands-on experience along with excellent teaching faculty. Also, I believed that I could get into this university with my academic scores.

Accommodation is very hard to find. You have to start looking for it as soon as possible. I have many tricks for that which I used to get it easily.

It's the best college in my field and with such a huge name. Their alumni are very well-reputed.

Accomodation has been always a challenge in both the places .I had to stay outside the campus for 4 months in Singapore in a shared apartment. That costed about 400 sgd a month including utilities.later received the hostel Accomodation in ntu for a year. The campus housing was shared with all essential facilites and an air-conditioning unit. This unit was pre-paid and a card is essential to run.High speed internet, electricity is included. Availing a fridge is additional with a surcharge.in munich the Accomodation is super difficult. The waitlist for a student Accomodation is about 18 months. I stayed for 5 months under the guest house of my bachelor university ,followed by subletting rooms from then for 15 months.the room rents varies from 270€ to 370€ a month.

The best in Germany, competitive and has multiple networking opportunites and events.
