MHT CET 2023 Biology Syllabus, Topics, Weightage, Sample Questions

MHT CET curriculum is based on the Maharashtra State Secondary Education Curriculum of Class 11 and Class 12. MHT CET syllabus consists of physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology chapters and themes focused on subjects selected during registration. With MHT CET 2023, the standard XI curriculum will be weighted by 20% and the standard XII curriculum will be weighed by 80%. Candidates can choose between PCM and PCB based on the stream of subjects they studied at the 11th and 12th levels. In the form of an official notification, DTE Maharashtra will issue an updated MHT CET 2023 curriculum to help candidates better prepare for the exam.

The Government of Maharashtra has notified the rules regulating the admission of full-time technical graduate courses for the first and second years in the exercise of the powers conferred by Article 23 of the Maharashtra Uneidi Specialist Educational Institutions Act (Mah. XXVIII of 2015) (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Pharm D., Architecture, Hotel Management, and Catering Technology). Also Check MHT CET Exam Dates

Difficulty Level

MHT CET Difficulty Level

  • The overall difficulty was easy to moderate. There were not many difficult questions, and 60 percent of the question paper was transparent on all changes or slots. The most difficult topic for all improvements in science was mathematics, while the straightforward subject was physics.
  • Once the evaluation is completed, the test participants will use the CollegeDunia MHT CET Rank Predictor tool to determine their rankings and values. The MHT CET Rank Predictor is also a good tool for allowing applicants to learn how to perform the MHT CET test.
  • The next stage for further selection is the consultation process after the applicants have taken the exam. Applicants for MHT-CET consultation and the seat assignment process will be invited on the basis of MHT CET scores. Only those individuals who meet the limits of the Maharashtra engineering colleges will be admitted.

MHT CET 2018 Paper Reviews

  • The paper was considered extremely simple by the candidates who took part in the 2018 MHT-CET exam on 10 May. The first reaction of students and experts was that the paper had no conceptual problems in physics and chemistry. Almost every question put to the entrance test was based on information or a formula.
  • In addition, the students said that MHT-CET 2018 was one of the easiest entrance exams in engineering. Some say, in comparison to the 2018 JEE Mains, the difficulty level in this paper was not even half as high.
  • Another input from the students was that they were not presented with time management problems in both papers this year. Fewer calculations have been made and certain problems are not even numerical.
  • The number of applicants from the state of Maharashtra increased by almost 14 percent in 2018. Approximately 4.34 lakh candidates registered for the examination this year. MHT-CET is extended to candidates seeking entries in Maharashtra State Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Hotel Management Colleges.

MHT CET Section-wise Difficulty level

  • The three sections Math/Biology, Physics, and Chemistry were all moderately difficult.
  • 80 percent of the questions came from the 12th class curriculum in all three grades, while just 10 percent came from the 11th class curriculum.
  • As there was no derogatory marking, all 150 questions should have been considered.
  • It was not very difficult for a well-prepared student to try 130 of the 150 questions with an accuracy of between 85 and 90 percent.
  • This could lead to the 150 plus ranking, which is an excellent score for securing a seat in colleges such as the Veermata Jijabai Technical Institute (VJIT), KJ Somaiya, and the Engineering College of Pune.
  • With a score of 130, a rank of almost 6,000 can be expected, so that the top engineering colleges and universities will be available to these students.
  • A score of 100 is also a high enough score to secure a seat in the top 30 Maharashtra Engineering Colleges.
