Round 1: Shortlisting Criteria
The first step for IIT Delhi Admission is the shortlisting criteria prior to the final round of selection. IIT Delhi will shortlist the applicants according to the CAT score, previous academic performance, and other criteria as:
- The first stage of shortlisting for IIT Delhi Admission involves high weightage given to the CAT score in addition to the weightage offered for Gender Diversity, Academics, and Work Experience.
- The applicant should have obtained a minimum sectional percentile of 80 in every one of the three sections of CAT: Quantitative Aptitude (QA), ‘Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC).
- An applicant should have secured a minimum overall percentile of 90 in CAT.
- If the applicant does not secure a minimum prescribed percentile in CAT, he/she would not be considered for shortlisting for the final stage of selection.
- All the shortlisted applicants would be invited to appear for the Personal Interview (PI).
Round 2: Final Selection Stage
- All candidates who get shortlisted will have to participate in the final selection round for admission to IIT Delhi which will include the PI round.
- IIT Delhi would conduct PI in online mode.
