Karnataka BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have the following criteria:
- Should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics as the optional subjects.
- Appearing for the KCET examination in physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics subjects.
- The merit list is prepared by considering 50% marks from 10+2 and the remaining from the CET examination.
- Candidates seeking admission under Agriculturist Quota should appear for a practical test. The weightage of the practical exam is 50% on the merit list.
Karnataka BSc Agriculture Admission Process 2023
The application mode for the CET examination is online. The candidate must follow the given steps to apply:
- Visit the official site of Karnataka Examinations Authority (www.kea.kar.nic.in) and click on "CET 2023 UG Online Application".
- Register yourself and login with the new credentials.
- Fill in all the necessary information.
- Upload the scanned images of a passport-sized photograph, left-hand thumb impression, signature, and parent's signature.
- Read the declaration and click the submit button.
- Print out the application form and affix the passport-sized photo, left-hand thumb impression, and signature in the spaces provided. Obtain the signature of the principal of your school or college where you have completed your 10+2.
- Download the challan and print out three copies. Candidates opting to pay the application fees via net banking need not do this.
- Pay the challan at any of the specified banks and retain two copies of it from the bank.
- The application fee for Karnataka residents is INR 500 and non-Karnataka residents is INR 750.
- Females and candidates belonging to the SC/ST category have to pay INR 250 as the registration fee.
Karnataka BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Exam Pattern
- The candidate has to appear for the CET examination. The examination is conducted over two days in a total of four sessions.
- On the first day, there are two sessions, one for biology and one for mathematics.
- On the second day, there are two sessions, one for physics and one for chemistry.
- This is an MCQ-type exam and each question contains four options. All questions are compulsory.
- Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking.
- The marks of the CET examination will be considered in equal proportion along with the 10+2 score for the preparation of the final merit list.

The counseling process for BSc Agriculture is carried out in the following manner:
- After the declaration of the merit list, a candidate has to select their preferences. First, a mock round is conducted after which the candidate is allowed to change or reorder their preferences.
- After the first round is conducted, a candidate must select one of the four choices suitable for them. Candidates selecting choice 1 will not be considered for further rounds.
- Subsequently, the second round is conducted to fill up the remaining seats.
