Muthayammal Engineering College Admission 2024: Cut Off, Fees, Eligibility, Registration Process

MEC offer both Full Time and Part Time courses in 13 specializations. Admission process is as per TNEA.

Here is the following specialization in BE/ B.Tech Course:

MEC BE/B.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

• BE/B.Tech: The candidate must be pass Higher Secondary or 10+2 pattern or its equivalent with minimum eligibility percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry together. 
• Lateral entry in BE/B.Tech: Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Mathematics or Diploma Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering from a recognized university/ institute.
• Applications of the candidate applying for the course and are found ineligible will be cancelled.

MEC BE/B.Tech Selection Process:

• First a candidate must check for the eligibility criteria. 
• If a candidate is eligible to apply for the admission into the course applies for the TNEA which is state level entrance exam conducted by Anna University every year.
• After filling the application form for TNEA appear for the entrance examination on the specified date.
• After the result is declared the Merit Cut-Offs are declared.
• If the candidate is under the Merit they will be called for counselling.
• If the candidate has applied for the college they are under merit they can now pay the fees to the college and get admission.

MEC ME Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate must have completed B.E./B.Tech or its equivalent degree in relevant branch of engineering with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university.
• Candidates must have qualified Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2021 conducted by Anna University.

MEC ME Selection Process:

• Admission is through a counseling process based on the rank obtained in TANCET Exam 2021.
• Candidates have to select the college at the time of counseling.
• Based on the rank obtained and college selected, seat allotment will be done
• Selected candidates will be informed through a call.
• All the selected candidates need to report at the college for further admission process along with valid documents.
• Students who have qualified GATE exams are provided direct admission to Thangavelu Engineering College for the M.E. course.

MEC MBA and MCA Selection Process:

• Admission to MBA and MCA programs is finalized on the candidate’s merit/scorecard in TANCET 2021 conducted by Anna University annually.
• A qualified candidate has to apply for the counselling process.
• Candidates have to select the college at the time of counseling.
• Based on the rank obtained and college selected, seat allotment will be done
• Selected candidates will be informed through a call or Email.

All the selected candidates need to report at the college for further admission process along with valid documents.

MEC offers Ph.D. programs in affiliation with Anna University and the Admission process is done through Written Test followed by Interview.

MEC Ph.D (Full-Time/ Part-Time) Selection Process:

• The applications having the consent of a recognized supervisor from the recognized department of Anna University, Chennai are only considered for admission to Ph.D.programmes.
• The preliminary scrutiny will be done by the Centre for Research and short list the eligible candidates as per norms. 
• The short listed candidates shall be called for a written test (to be conducted in theAnna University Main Campus, Chennai only) by the Director.
• The consolidated list of candidates who have qualified in the written test will be notified on the website and will be called for an interview at the University Departments of AnnaUniversity, Chennai only.
• The Performance of the candidate in the Post Graduate or Master’s is also considered for the selection.
