About MKCE
M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering has been established in the year 2000 by M. Kumarasamy Health and Educational Trust. It is the first engineering college to be established in the district of Karur. MKCE is affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It is an autonomous institution which is NAAC accredited and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The AICTE approved College is situated in Karur, Tamil Nadu. The nearest railway station is Karur Junction which is 12 Km far from the College.
The Institute offers 7 bachelors(BE , BTECH) and 7 Masters programmes(ME, MBA, MCA) in various disciplines . Selection criteria:
- For admissions into B.E. /B .Tech the students should have passed 12th with PCM and must have qualified TNEA.
- Students applying for M.E. course must have graduated with B.E./ B.Tech degree with a minimum of 50% score and must have qualified TANCET.
- To apply for MCA Admission ,the students must have a bachelor's degree with maths as a compulsory subject And must qualify the TANCET exam .
- To Apply for MBA , the candidate must have graduated from a recognised university . Also students must qualify the TANCET exam .
- Merit is given high priority for admission into any course . Students with less than 70% in Higher Secondary are not considered for admission.
- Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state-level examination conducted by Anna University. The admission to various postgraduate courses is made on the basis of score obtained in TANCET examination.

- Students can apply online at Anna University and can register for TANCET.
- Students can fill in the application form through Contagni College of Technology where they will get a new id and password.
- Click on the TANCET Application form and login using the provided id and password.
- Fill in your personal information, 12th score/ graduation score and your recent photograph.
- An Application fee of Rs 500 is required for General category and Rs 250 for reserved category.

Library : The college infrastructure is a huge organised library encompassing 33ooo books in it . It also has 22 journals ,16,297 tiles , and 2750 non-book malvia .The library follows a UPS-i-net software system with barcode scanning facility ,thus making sure that each and every document bears a different barcode .
Physics And English Laboratory : The college has a physics lab to conduct practicals for first year students , Also, the college has a english lab which is well equipped with 61 computer systems having language learning software in them .
Hostel : The college has 3 hostels , where 2 of them are for boys and the remaining one is for female students .The hostel fee is around 12000 annually.There are a few number of PG options available outside the college .
WI-FI : The campus has a high speed wi-fi facility that is nearly 54 mbps.
Transport : There are buses available for different routes around the district .

- He also helps our students to improve their project knowledge. All of my faculty are good in their topic.
- Projects will be held each semester, and students can make use of them to showcase their talents with the help of staff.
- From the 7th semester, students are asked to involve in placement activities. They also provide wonderful placement training, which is provided by the college management.
- One loan has been offered by our college, and for sports students, they offer a free quota. SC ST students are also offered no loan because they are given scholarships for good cutoff students.
- The college has a very good infrastructure with well-equipped labs and up-to-date versions of instruments in the labs.
- I am not a hostel student, but the infrastructure of our college is very good. The hostel is separate for boys and girls. The facilities provided for students are very good for staying in the college. Food facilities are also very good.
- Overall, the college management was good. They guided and supported us in every way to help make our career a successful one.
Dislike
- It is 2020, and we are dealing with IBM Watson-like supercomputers, but my college still teaches students the useless 8051 microprocessor.
- They will give monthly On Duties to attend an external internship with some other organization.
- In our scholarship program, our college refunds half of the fees for students who have received gold medals in their academics
