KLS Gogte Institute of Technology was founded in the year of 1979. Located at Belgaum, Karnataka, India, the autonomous institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology offers Bachelor of Technology (B.E.) degree program in seven different specializations. The duration of all the B.Tech. Courses is four-year.
Admission to the B.Tech. program is done through State level examinations - Karnataka Common Entrance Examination (KCET) conducted by Karnataka Education Society (KEA) as well as through UGET (Under Graduate Entrance Test) conducted by COMED K (Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka).
However, aspiring candidates must have passed in the 10 +2 level examination or equivalent examination recognized by AICTE and State Government with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. The minimum required marks is 45% in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC).
In addition to the B.Tech program, the institute also offers Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree program at the UG level. The course intake for the B.Arch program is 80 seats. The program takes five-year to complete its duration.
Admission to the five-year B.Arch course is done strictly on the basis of Merit in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture, Council of Architecture, New Delhi or also by COMEDK examination.
Candidates (including SC, ST and other backward classes) seeking admission in B.Arch, must have to score a minimum of 40% marks in NATA to get selected. The minimum eligibility for candidate must pass in 2nd PUC or 12th examination or equivalent with mathematics as compulsory subject and minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology offers a two-year postgraduate level engineering degree course leading to the M.Tech (Master of Technology) degree. The M.Tech program is offered under seven different specializations with a total annual intake of 150 seats.
The eligiblity is B.E. / B.Tech with relevant discipline for admission.
Admission to the M.Tech program is done through Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by Karnataka Education Authority (KEA) or Graduate Aptitude Technical Examination (GATE) conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISC) and Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology MCA and MBA Admission 2023
In addition to the M.Tech program, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology also offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs at the postgraduate level for a duration of three-year and two -year respectively.
Admission to the MCA and MBA program is done through state level examinations such as Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA).
In order to apply for the MCA program, aspiring candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks on an aggregate. The candidates must have had either Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects at the degree level.
However for MBA, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in an aggregate to be considered eligible for admission.

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology Ph.D. Admission 2023
At the doctoral level, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree program under ten different research disciplines.
Admissions to the Ph.D. programs are done through an Entrance test called ULRAT (University Level Research Aptitude Test) which is conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Short-listed candidates will have to appear in an Interview round. The merit list for the doctoral courses is based on merit of the candidates in ULRAT as well as on the performance in the interview round.
Aspiring candidates for the Ph.D. program however must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in an aggregate or 6.75 CGPA out of 10 from a recognized University to be considered eligible for admission.

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology Application Process 2023
The application form is available only for those candidate who have confirmed seat allotment.
Here are the steps to apply for admission:
- Visit the online admission portal of college website.
- Click on “New Users- click here to register”.
- Provide the necessary details and click register.
- After successful registration, candidate will receive an activation email.
- Click on the activation link to complete the registration process.
- Candidate will receive a username and password.
- Click on the same page as before and enter your user name and password.
- Enter and fill all the relevant information carefully.
- Upload all the required documents in JPEG format.
- Submit the application form, it will take you to edit instance where candidate can edit the information.
- Click on Copy Application ID and go to payment.
- Payment can be made either online or offline mode.
- For online mode, click on Make Payment where candidate will be redirected to SBI site where make payment either through Net Banking/ Credit or Debit Card.
- Once payment is done, take printout of payment receipt.
- Click on Update Payment details, copy the transaction id and paste it on the payment details with amount paid.
- Click ok to complete the admission process.
- For Offline Mode, click on Offline challan and system will generate two challan copy.
- Take the printout and visit the college to get a seal on challan.
- Print Provisional Admission Acknowledgement.
- Pay the amount in the Karnataka Bank situated in GIT Campus.
- Bring payment receipt or challan (office copy), admission acknowledgement, four passport size photo, uploaded documents, four sets of xerox copies of all original documents duly attested by Gazetted Officer of India to GIT.
