NISER offers Integrated Msc. program at the undergraduate level for 5 years in six specializations. Candidates seeking admission for Ph.D. need to qualify their Masters Degree in any branches of Biology Sciences, including Agriculture, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences and other equivalent courses or Masters in Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics.

NISER Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Masters Degree in any branches of Biological Sciences Agriculture, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences and other equivalent courses or Masters in Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics.
- The Ph.D. aspirants must qualify any of the National Level Eligibility Tests, such as NET (CSIR-UGC), ICMR,DBT, ICAR and GATE.
NISER Ph.D. Selection Process
- Candidates qualifying the NET (CSIR-UGC), ICMR,DBT, ICAR and GATE entrance exam are eligible to directly appear for the Personal Interview.
- Candidates will be selected based on their merit obtained from entrance exam scores, Personal Interview and Post Graduation marks.
- Selected candidates will have to be present for the Group Discussion and personal Interview rounds.
- Once selected, candidates can be enrolled for the PH.D. program in NISER on the allotted date.

Ans. Generally, IIT JAM syllabus caters to the graduation level of the subject concerned. As mentioned in the official brochure, the Biotechnology syllabus covers 10+2+3 level Physics, Chemistry and Biology. To score well in the IIT JAM entrance exam is advisable to brush up the intermediate as well as all the six subjects.
Ques. Will I be able to rectify any mistakes after the application for NET (CSIR-UGC) has been submitted for NISER admission?
Ans. In case of any incorrect information, NTA will reject the application. So once the application is submitted there is no scope for making any changes to the application form.
