National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) is an autonomous research institute established in the year 2006 at Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The institute is under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai. NISER Bhubaneswar Admission
Candidates seeking admission to the institute must apply online through the official website of the institute. Listed down are the admission criteria for each course offered by the institute:
- B.Sc.-M.Sc. Admission: The students applying for this course must clear the entrance examination NEST. The selection is based on the evaluated marks obtained in the NEST test.
- M.Sc. – Ph.D. Admission: Admission to PhD is based on the JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) or JAM (Joint Admission Test) entrance examination conducted by IIT.
- Ph.D. Admission: The selection is based on the overall performance and the marks obtained in any of the National Level Eligibility Test such as NET, ICMR, ICAR, DBT, and GATE. During the admission process, the aspirants need to go through the Group Discussion as well as Personal Interview conducted by the Institute.
