Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks (General category), 45% marks (OBC category) and 40% marks (SC, ST, SCA, MBC, DNC category) in these three.

Selection Process

Admission to B.E program offered by REC will be conducted on the basis of TNEA counselling. 

How to Apply for B.E/ B.Tech at Ranganathan Engineering College?

• Candidates need to apply for the course online by registering themselves within the stipulated time period.
• After successful registration, candidates need to login and fill the personal details that are asked in the application form. Similarly, fill the academic details in the application form.
• After filling the application form online, candidates must take a printout of the filled application form.
• The university publishes a merit/rank list after studying all the application forms.
• Selected candidates are called for counselling by the university. They need to download their counselling call letter from the official website for TNEA 2023.
• Candidates are offered admission to the specialization of their interest based on the online counselling.
• The selected candidates are required to submit the documents (with originals) for documents verification.
• The acceptance of the student is granted after ensuring the validity of the submitted documents.
• Selected candidates are then required to pay the college fees in the stipulated time. In case of failure to do so the admission will be revoked.

• Attested photocopy of 10th Provisional Certificate (Date of Birth)
• Attested photocopy of 10th Marksheet
• Attested photocopy of 10+2 or Intermediate Passing Certificate

Eligibility Criteria

M.E. candidates should have passed a Bachelor’s degree exam in the relevant field by obtaining at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category candidates). Those who have a B.E/B.Tech or Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science/Arts or 10 + 2 + AMIE or 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE can also apply.

REC M.E. Selection Process

Admission to M.E program will be offered on the basis of merit in TANCET. Candidates having a valid TANCET score are required to fill the form for counselling in order to get admission.

The college offers post graduation M.B.A program which is a two years full-time course. The table highlights the details of the course for candidates who might be interested to apply for the same.

Eligibility Criteria

MBA candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of 3 years with at least a 50% aggregate score (45% in case of reserved category candidates).

REC MBA Selection Process

Admissions to MBA Program will be offered on the basis of merit in the TANCET examination. Candidates having shortlisted are required to appear for the TANCET counselling. 

TANCET exam is conducted offline and consist of 100 questions which are to be completed in 2 hours. The paper will be divided into five sections viz., Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Data Sufficiency.
