IES College of Engineering, located in Chittilappilly, Thrissur city, is affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, the University of Calicut and Kerala Technological University. The college has six departments that work together to offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering and Technology. The intake for the B.Tech programs is 60 for each branch of Engineering and Technology whereas the intake for the M.Tech programs is 24 for each branch
Candidate must hold a diploma in the respective branch to be eligible for admission to either second or third year of the undergraduate program as a lateral entrant. For M.Tech programs, the admission procedure also evaluates his/her GATE score. Foreign or Non-resident Indian candidates have to appear for the Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical (KEAM). The college also considers the candidate’s rank in the Lateral Entry Test (LET) for admission to the second or third year of the undergraduate program.
The IES college of Engineering offers B.Tech programs across branches Electrical And Electronics Engineering, Computer Science And Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics And Communication Engineering The intake for the B.Tech programs is 60 for each branch of Engineering and Technology. The B.Tech programs are of 4 years of duration. These programs are offered in Full-time mode. There is also a provision for lateral entry to the undergraduate programs.

There are 3 branches of M.Tech for the interested students. These are Computer Science and Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and VLSI Design. These are 2 years long, full-time programs. Candidates must have a valid GATE score for the admission to the post graduate programs.

Under section 10(e) of AICTE act which enlists schemes of promoting higher education by waiving tuition fee for women, differently-abled candidates and financially backward sections of the society, the College has waived off tuition fee for the above-mentioned candidate who performs exceptionally well in academics since the year 2007.
The College also provides CENTRAL SECTOR SCHOLARSHIP (CSS) to meritorious students who have secured an average minimum of 80% in their senior secondary school examination. The CSS scholarship has the provision of providing an aid of Rs. 10,000 for the first three academic years whereas he/she will receive an amount of Rs. 20,000 in the fourth academic year
