New Delhi: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (AKTU) also known as Kerala Technological University (KTU) is all set to establish three centres of excellence with international standards to head innovative studies and research in science and technology.
The Syndicate of KTU is setting up the centre of excellence to guide cutting-edge studies and research in science and technology.
The centre for excellence on sustainable development and carbon neutrality will be established on the campus of the Government Engineering College (GEC), Kannur.
At the Model Engineering College (MEC) in Thrikkakara, a centre of excellence in robotics, automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence will be established.
The centre for excellence in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and automation will be set up at the Model Engineering College (MEC) in Thrikkakara.
The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT) in Kottayam will establish the centre for developing materials and allied subjects.
Meanwhile, the Kerala Technological University (KTU) has set a total of INR 30 crore as a budget to set up the centres of excellence.
KTU Kerala Placements 2022
During the AKTU campus Placements 2022, a total of 14 female students from BTech programme received an annual job offer of INR 15 lakh each from a multinational software company.
Almost 500 girls from all over the state participated in this special campus placement drive organised by AKTU for the female students pursuing BTech course.
The selection process commenced with an online coding test. On the first day, 512 girl students took an online coding test simultaneously.
Out of the total, almost 50 female students were shortlisted for the next round. Out of these, 26 were selected and made it for two rounds of the AKTU special placement drive.
The following day, these female students had to pass the technical and HR round of testing. Finally, 14 female students were chosen by the company.
