B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology is a private Engineering and Management institute located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was established in the year of 1999.
It is affiliated to the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The institute offers various B.Tech, BBA, BCA and MCA programs at UG and PG levels.
- Admission to B.Tech course is done on the basis of merit in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or JEE Main.
- Admission to the B.Tech Lateral course is done through Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test (JELET).
- BBA and BCA course admissions are done on the basis of merit in 10+2 or equivalent examination
- For admission to the MCA course, candidates need to score well in Joint Entrance for admission in Master of Computer Applications (JECA).

BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology B.Tech Admission 2023
BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology offers B.Tech program in four specializations.The intake capacity varies for each of the specializations. The institute also offers B.Tech Lateral Entry in same specializations for the duration of three years.
Admission to B.Tech (Regular) is offered on the basis of score of JEE Main or WBJEE. For B.Tech Lateral Entry, the candidates have to qualify in JELET conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB).
90% of the total seats are filled through WBJEE and remaining 10% are filled through JEE Main. If seats remain vacant, then such seats are filled by the candidates holding a valid rank in WB JEE or JEE Main examination.

BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology BBA & BCA Admission 2023
Apart from the technical courses, the institute also offers a three-year full-Time BBA and BCA programs at UG level.
Candidate willing to take admission in the BBA must have passed 10+2 with English or Functional English while BCA requires a 10+2 pass with English or Functional English along with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Application/ Business Mathematics & Statistics/ Business Economics including Business Mathematics/ Modern Computer Application or Information Practice (with pass mark). The admission is completely merit-based.
