- The Chemical Engineering Department has links to a number of multi-disciplinary centres at Queen's, including: the Human Mobility Research Centre, Green Centre Canada, Innovation Park, the Queen's Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER), and the Queen's Innovation Connector.
- The Department also houses the Polymers Research Group (PRG), with strengths in polymer reaction engineering, processing and rheology.
- The objectives of the program are to educate students in advanced concepts and techniques, conduct research inquiry at the forefront of discipline knowledge, and foster independent and critical thought.
- These objectives are achieved through a combination of coursework, thesis and project work, and research seminars.
- The requirements for this program are 8 term length courses
- This is a one-year program with a start date of September only with no financial support from the University or the Department.
- The Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association (CEGSA) unifies the chemical engineering graduate student community, organizes social events (Friday Grad Club Gatherings, Welcome Back BBQ, Paint Ball, Games Night, etc.), and ensures a mechanism for graduate students to communicate questions and concerns to their department.
- NOTE: Courses are either term-length (12 weeks = 3 units) or modules (6 weeks = 1.5 units). Not all courses are offered in every session.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Should have a Bachelors Degree in relevant while applying for admission.
- A Minimum of 65% in an undergraduate degree is required to enroll in the course.
- OR, Department requires a B+ average or equivalent for admission to this program.
English Language proficiency:
- Applicants from India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, and Pakistan should note that IELTS is the only proficiency score accepted by the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program.
- Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
- Not all students will qualify for EAP-3106 in place of the required IELTS or TOEFL test scores.
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum 300+ score for a better chance of admission.

- Official Transcripts: Applicants who have attended and/or received degrees from institutions outside the US must provide certified copies and certified English translations of transcripts or records of all previous post-secondary education and of all degrees conferred.
- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
