Placement:

The post-study placements are not that good. Very few companies arrive at the university for placement opportunities.

Placement:

We have career fairs for all events. But especially for CS programs, they don't have many employers (only a few companies come to hire careers). Students have to search for jobs on their own on websites like LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor etc.

Internship:

No. Cooperation is optional here and I didn't opt ??for it.

Placement depends on one's skill. The university organizes career fair every year, where various employers come and hire people in different domains.

Internship:

There are on-campus jobs that work around your class schedule and your exam schedule - these jobs are limited to 10 hours a week. Individual programs also may have internship opportunities - these are program-specific and it's better to ask your faculty. I have no interaction with these placements.

First and foremost, the campus and location. I love Northern Ontario and it's wildlife. There is an overwhelming feeling of calm whenever I am in Thunder Bay from the moment I land, very different from the hustle and bustle of Toronto. Secondly, the faculty. I first met the faculty at a college/university fair in Toronto in my grade 12 year, and they were so nice and welcoming. They weren't condescending or judgmental and answered all my questions - unlike the other schools. Thirdly, I wanted to be out on my own. Thunder Bay is very far from my home and when I was coming here, that's what I needed.

Placement:

I have had placements every year and they are good. There is not typically a repeat in any clinical placements, so we get a well-rounded placement educational experience over the course of 3 years. In the 4th year, we choose our own placements.

The location was appealing to me and I had family in the city if I needed help with anything. I also had friends in the city and knew the city well. I heard it was one of the best places for nursing as you get to start placements in year 1.
