My academic score is good but the sole purpose I have chosen this college is one that I have friends and relatives living in Halifax, other reasons include the internship benefit of the course, short tenure, less academic stress, high chance to be part of Atlantic nominee program. One more thing is that Dalhousie is one of the top universities in Canada that I can afford. As I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science, I am sure that I need to enhance my knowledge in the same field, so that?s the reason for my master's in computer science.
Course Curriculum :
Good facilities and few faculties are good, easily approachable to solve your queries, whereas few just teach and don't bother to get feedbacks. Overall the faculty of computer science is good enough to manage.
Exams :
Based on the SOP, LOR, good academic scores and the fame of your previous institution you will be having a high chance to attain admission. Eligibility requirements include an IELTS score of 7.
Placement :
Most of the students will get internships and continue in the same organization as they will be offered full time if not there are wide opportunities in Canada to easily attain a job. But initially, it might take 2 to 3 months courtship period where you have to keep on attending interviews and wait for the results, which come only after a month or so in many cases.
Internship :
Yes, our college offers internship opportunities. Most of us got internships and the criteria are just to pass the semesters and give the best shot for the interviews with attractive resume and cover letters. Internship support by campus helps us in creating attractive resumes.
Fees :
The fee structure is like around $5000 each semester which includes transit, gym, society fees altogether. The total course in rupees will come around 13-15 lakhs. I took an education loan from a bank back home. Even to get a loan it took me a month. For Masters, there are not many scholarships available but they do offer teaching assistants and best student awards.
Hostel :
Off-campus because of the budget that I can afford and the kind of food which I eat differs from the on-campus meal. Another reason is that I want to stay with my friends rather than alone in an unknown country which again is best to live off-campus as everyone will be comfortable and can easily afford it.
