Originally, the Saint Mary University of Faculty of Commerce was established in 1934, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The School was later renamed as the Frank H. Sobey Faculty of Commerce and then the Sobey School of Business. The Sobey Building was opened in the year 2000. The School offers a respectful Bachelor of Commerce Program, with a wide choice of specialties from which one can choose a field of their own interest.
Popular subjects of study at Sobey School of Business includes entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, computing and information systems and human resource management and industrial relations. For the Graduate-level programs, the School offers a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Finance, a Master of Applied Economics, a Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and of course the esteemed Ph.D. program.

- The University is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, one of the four Atlantic Provinces on Canada’s East Coast.
- The Atlantic region keeps students in an environment where they are close to nature, surroundings filled with forests, fresh and saltwater beaches, salt marshes and lush orchards and fields.

Financial Aids
- The department raised more than 75,000 CAD to fund the start-up for three scholarships. With this early success, and additional contributions expected from alumni and friends, the goal of 100,000 CAD for a permanent endowment fund is well within reach.
