Overview

The course Business Intelligence at Algonquin College is an excellent course for those who wanted to make a shift of career to the Data analytics side and that was the reason I chose the course also because at Algonquin they have the option of doing a co-op after the completion of the course.

Fees

For the BISI program the total fees for the 2019 Fall were $22,000 and for Project Management 2020 Fall was $17,800.

Overview

I decided to go to practice nursing as a way to build my bedside manner and patient care before going to RN. I chose this college because it was close to home, and made everything cheaper, and had me save money. The application was easy through OCAS. This program does require writing the HPAT which will run you 50$.

Fees

It's quite expensive for a small town campus. Lab kits for year two are almost 450$ for which you do not use half of. They automatically put you in for any bursaries. You can get loans through banks or OSAP. It's a small town so there's not a lot of bursaries to be given. Living in the area can be quite expensive because it's so small.

Overview

Algonquin campus is huge, from back home I always wanted to be a part of Algonquin College and now am finally in. Algonquin has tons of opportunities for students. Faculty of college itself proves why students love their college. My college thunder team is a best and important part of the college. Study spaces all around campus make students to score good marks as much as they can without any excuses. College keeps on making improvements to make their students feel they are at the right place. Being an International student I never felt like I spend a lot because am getting benefits in the college. How can I forget college theatre, I always love to watch free movies in the College theatre. I can speak fr the whole day about my college, I love my college.

Fees

Fee structure is around 9000$ per semester, rest depends on which program you are in. I never felt like I am paying much as I am getting worth of my every dollar, College offers scholarships to the students who score 4 GPA. They have some other procedures as well. I am not sure much about scholarships.

Algonquin is Close to home. And the only college around me that offered the American sign language program. I had gone to a different college before in Belleville and since moving home it was a course I had wanted to take.

Fees

The fees were per semester and the books were used for at least two semesters. However, the course is being condensed.

Overview

I chose to go to Algonquin because I was from out of the city and I had family there so I moved here to study and live. I don't plan to leave after school unless I chose to study outside of Algonquin.

Fees

I personally received OSAP in the form of grants to help pay for my tuition and the rest was paid fully out of pocket. I did not pay an overwhelming amount of attention to what I was paying into and was sometimes surprised when I found out I had already paid for something (ie. printing).

Because it had the best program for me. Like I mentioned before I had gone to university for 3 years and never learned anything but theory, where at college this program gives me the hands-on experience I need to be hired for the police force.

Fees

Everything is included in the Tuition. Books and uniforms for us. The only thing that could be better is to have a choice if we want to include fees to the student union.

● Top Answer By Prateek Ghose on 13 Jan 21

Ans. Both George Brown College and Algonquin College are among the top public colleges in Canada. Securing 4654th position in the World Ranking List. In many practical aspects GBC is definitely a better college than Algonquin. First of all, it has an advantage due to its location- it is located in downtown Toronto which is a prime location and a better place for students to live and look for opportunities. Ranking and reputation wise as well, it outranks Algonquin. Also, it is recommended that you opt for a 2 year program so that there is enough time for you to get a work permit. Since the fees may be high for some, it will help you make it more affordable. George Brown College offers a variety of programs in the field of :Engineering Technology, Health Science, Arts and Culture, Finance, Hospitality and many more. The following table gives a brief comparison of both colleges: Just like George Brown College, Algonquin College provides various full-time and part-time coop oriented programs in the domains of arts, engineering, technology, medical sciences, management and more. If you are academically better and still have a chance to improve your grades and GRE scores, then it's better to apply for universities instead of colleges. This will be more helpful for you in the long run.Read more
