Emory University Undergraduate Admissions

Emory University accepts applications online through two portals. However, applicants must submit one application through either of the two portals. For the session 2022, Emory's is test-optional, which means SAT/ACT scores are optional. If scores are submitted, it is considered as a demonstration of an applicant’s academic preparation.

US Student Visa Application Process

After Emory University receives the applicant’s enrollment fee and confirmation to attend, they would release the I-20 form. This form is for degree-seeking students who wish to study full-time and thus, require the F-1 form. There are various types of US student visa, that students can choose, depending upon the mode or degree of study. After receiving the I-20 form, the given steps must be followed:

• Pay the SEVIS fee, using the SEVIS ID number for I-20 Form
• Applicants must then contact the nearest US Embassy or Consulate to schedule a visa appointment
• Once the applicant gets a visa the applicant must keep the following documents ready before traveling to study in the USA:
  • Valid passport with the expiration date
  • Valid F-1/J-1 visa
  • Original or updated I-20 or DS-2019
  • Proof of financial support

Admission Decision 

The decision will be made on different dates for all the application terms i.e Regular Decision, Early Action I and Early Action II.

• Early Decision: December 15, 2022
• Early Decision II: February 2, 2023
• Regular Decision: March 30, 2023
