Doctor of Philososphy [Ph.D] [Counseling Psychology] From University at Albany

Academic Eligibility:

• Students must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing.
• Students must achieve and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Students should have at least 18 credits of undergraduate psychology credit is required, which must include statistics and either abnormal psychology or personality.
• Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores. 
• Students are required to submit the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. 

Indian Students Eligibility:

• Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams. 
• Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School. 

Graduates will pursue a professional career as a licensed psychologist in:

• research-oriented universities and colleges,
• community and college counseling centers,
• academic medical schools,
• Veterans Affairs medical facilities, and private practice.
