Historians are part sleuth and part research scientist, sharing a curiosity about where we've come from and history's potential to influence where we are going. If you want to know how societies function, why something happened or changed, history will help you find the answers.
With a strong liberal arts background and skills in researching, synthesizing and articulating information, our grads succeed in a wide range of fields including education, law, business, government, medicine and more. Knowledge of history is essential for you to be an informed citizen of the United States and inhabitant of our planet.
By studying history, you will explore people, events, institutions and values as old as the ancient world and as new as yesterday's headlines. As a history major, you can choose from the B.A. or B.S. degree with an emphasis in Ancient Studies, Pre-Law, Diplomacy, Great Plains or Military History.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 71 in iBT; 8 in TOEFL Essentials
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 100
- PTE: minimum 48
