Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Jazz Studies] From University of Pacific

Students in the program from University of the Pacific will learn about the big picture of current industry trends and how to manage their careers as a business.

Jazz Studies at Pacific has one of the few 3-year degree programs in the country. Students in this and other degree programs have the flexibility to study independently with any jazz faculty, regardless of instrument, providing a breadth and diversity of musical exposure.

The Pacific Jazz Studies program has been well-represented at festivals and competitions on the west coast, and our students learn from accomplished faculty, guest artists, and clinicians. Improvisation is alive and well at Pacific, and jazz studies students can learn the skills to create meaningful careers and lives full of musical expression.
