Our program provide students with the opportunity to focus on the the ecological, socioeconomic, and policy factors critical to environmental assessment, management, and program implementation. Students may also explore interdisciplinary interactions among these components of environmental science. Through rigorous and varied coursework, along with access to researches associated with Tarleton State University, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, and the Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research (TIAER) students can develop an environmental science program that fits their own career interests. Faculty in the Master of Science in Environmental Science degree program have expertise in the following areas:
- Surface and ground water quality
- Environmental land-use management
- Environmental impacts of pollutants
- Environmental education
- Environmental policies
- Environmental justice

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education and colleges attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES or AICE member agency
- Evaluation must contain course by course evaluation along with GPA
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for admission
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; minimum 8 in Essentials
- IELTS: minimum score of 6
- PTE: minimum score of 53
- Duolingo: minimum score of 105
