This program, which can be completed in one or two years, allows students to study the role of effective communication in medical settings, health promotion and education, and physical and mental well-being. Students?examine the communication strategies and theories essential to informing and influencing individual, institutional, and public audiences about important health issues ranging from patient-provider interactions, families dealing with health issues, and public health crises. Students?also explore communication in interpersonal relationships, health and strategic marketing campaigns, and health messages in media and entertainment.
