Theatre is a collaborative art in which each person is useful to the production. As part of a theatre company and a community of aspiring scholars, students learn to be respectful of others’ ideas, beliefs and dreams.
The Lied Education Center for the Arts on the Creighton campus houses:
- A proscenium theatre
- A black box theatre
- A dance studio
Yearly performances of theatre, musical theatre and dance will offer you many opportunities to perform and work behind the scenes.
Creighton theatre faculty members are very active in the local theatre community and can help you arrange summer internships and opportunities off-campus during the academic year.
Theatre Minor
The theatre minor offers you a broad-based education in the theatrical arts. You can gain experience in acting, directing, theatre history, television, stagecraft and design.
Outcomes

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Application Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts which should include the scale on which you were graded and the English translation, if not in English
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an credit evaluator which is accredited by NACES, SpanTran is recommended
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit one or two letters of recommendation written by one of your teacher, counselor, mentor, attesting to your academic and social preparedness at the college
- Submit an essay or personal statement to demonstrate your writing abilities while allowing the admissions committee to know more about yourself
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 88 in iBT with no section below 20
- IELTS: minimum 6.5 with no section below 6.0
- PTE: minimum 58
