Manchester University Admission Deadlines

Manchester University International Student Admissions

Manchester University welcomes applications from students all around the world. However, an international student is required to fulfill several additional requirements for admission as compared to domestic applicants.

Basic Admission Requirements: 

  • Official or certified copies of national examination results as proof of completion of high school.
  • Official or certified copies of transcripts, marks and grades from high school.
  • SAT score (Minimum score of 500 in each section)
  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer.
  • English language proficiency test scores
  • Proof of financial support includes submission of financial documents such as government support letters, bank statements and employer testimony of salary.

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

Manchester University expects international applicants to be able to be proficient in reading, speaking, writing and comprehending rapid idiomatic English. For admission to the University, international students must submit one of the following test scores to prove proficiency in English language:

Visa Process for International Students

International students accepted at Manchester University must submit tuition fee deposit and a request for form I-20 as soon as they receive the offer letter for admission. The University issues a form I-20 certificate of eligibility to all international students who successfully enroll at the University. Students must submit an application for an F-1 student visa to study in USA as soon as they receive Form I-20.

Once the applicant has completed the student visa application and submitted the necessary application fee, they are required to schedule an interview with the U.S. embassy and carry the following documents:

Manchester University Undergraduate Admissions

Manchester University Graduate Admissions

Manchester University offers only 3 Master’s degree programs namely Master of Accountancy, Master of Athletic Training and Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics. The application for each program is different. Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics is the only program available for international students. The process and requirements to apply for this program are given below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field or equivalent professional degree.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on 4.0
  • Verified copies of college-level transcripts
  • Foreign credential evaluation of all transcripts
  • English proficiency test score
  • Statement of Purpose
  • 1-2 letters of recommendation 

Once a student is admitted to the University, a non-refundable tuition deposit of 500 USD must be paid within 2 weeks from receiving the offer. The deposit will be adjusted towards the tuition fee and showed in the student’s account before the commencement of classes. Failure to make payment of the deposit within the deadline will disable the student from enrolling in classes for the coming semester and put the student visa status on hold which can lead to termination of visa application to study in the U.S.
