Rachel Burns Review at Manchester University, North Manchester | Collegedunia

My review of MU

RB
6.0 /10

I have a huge interest in psychology and wanted to further my opportunities by having a master's in that field. I received A levels in psychology and wanted to gain more knowledge of the subject. Having a psychology degree opens a lot of doors in many different areas so I don't have to worry about finding a niche job.

Course Curriculum :

It could be more varied

Exams :

I had to have BBB to get onto the course, there have been a few exams and the further I am getting on the course, the heavier the workload is. There are opportunities to get extra credits especially with assignments as the higher the score, the more it will help you. The exams are tedious and there is a lot of pressure put on you.

Fees :

I used a student loan which was stressful. However, I feel like in my situation it was the only way that I was going to be able to afford to go and have the opportunity to get a degree. My current fee per year is over 9000 which is beyond ridiculous in my opinion and definitely isn't worth the price.

Examination Structure :

It depends on the module as it's mostly written.

Faculty :

They don't help as much as they could and they sometimes don't seem like they care too much which is off-putting when you need help. Answers to questions are usually found by other students.
