- Students must complete at least one year of graduate residence at the University of California and 56 units.
- Epidemiology MS students may follow either the thesis plan (Plan I) or the capstone plan (Plan II). A thesis or capstone plan must be completed before graduation.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants who hold a prior MPH or doctoral degree (e.g., MD, DDS, DVM, PhD or equivalent), or those applicants whose ultimate degree objective is the PhD degree receive priority consideration.
- Submission of GRE scores is recommended but not required for this program. Students may voluntarily submit GRE test scores and they will be reviewed as part of the holistic application consideration.
