This concentration offers an option to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) track for those who are interested in sitting for the CPA exam.?
In addition to the CPA license, accounting students can work to attain their license as a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Financial Manager, Certified Fraud Examiner, among others. The accounting profession considered to be somewhat recession-proof because individuals and businesses still need to comply with tax laws and regulations regardless of the current economic status.?
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Applicants must have earned a high school diploma with minimum GPA of 2.75 or equivalent
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency like WES
- Submitting SAT/ACT scores is optional
- Submit English Proficiency Test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT; 500 in PBT;
- IELTS: minimum 5.0
