The NHP is designed to create an intellectual adventure and enhance the educational experience of high-achieving undergraduate nursing majors. Collaborative relationships with nursing faculty, academically enhanced nursing courses, and small-group seminars provide students with opportunities to develop a scholarly project and disseminate the findings at university, regional, and national forums.?
The program provides a strong foundation for baccalaureate students planning to pursue graduate education. The NHP complementsd?university-level honors programs such as the Haslam Scholars and Chancellor?s Honors Programs.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education
- The transcripts should be evaluated by an academic evaluation service agency
- Submit letters of recommendations
- Submit supporting statement
- Submit an evaluation of the rigor of the high school coursework
- Submit SAT/ACT scores as optional
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 523 in PBT; minimum 70 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Pearson PTE: minimum 53
- ACT: 21 minimum in English section
- SAT: 540 minimum in reading and writing
