Course Curriculum

We have to complete 32 credit hours. The department has good courses but the number of courses is very few. Good student to faculty ratio (around 30:1). Good resources are available to students but the department is relatively small compared to other departments.

Fees

Most students get a graduate assistantship. So there is full tuition funding with a stipend of around 1800$ per month. Which is enough for living expenses. I have only paid for one semester through a loan when I didn't have an assistantship.

It's ok

Fees

Over all I'm paying around 14,000 for both semesters, or one year. That's with my dorm, and meal plan. It's not as bad as many, but the scholarships are mainly for students who have gone here for a few years, making it hard to get them. The Tuition isn't the problem- it's the high meal plan and housing, the parking, etc.

I really enjoy how as our science courses build leading up to nursing school they become more directed towards us with real-world examples. I also think the university does a great job of incorporating so many hands-on opportunities with simulations and clinical placements for our program.

Fees

For the college of nursing, we have the nation students association fee applied every year. We also have technology and campus fees applied every year. Once you enter the nursing program you have a simulation fee to pay for the technology that comes with clinical.

The course curriculum sets students up for success. There is a strong classroom and clinical component to the program enabling students to master the contents. The first year is mostly classroom and the last 2 years are clinical.

Fees

Students are required to pay the full semester tuition before the semester starts. This can be challenging because it is a lot of money to fork over at once. I have to rely on loans to finance my education.

The course curriculum is great. There is a lot of diversity in the course work and the professors are amazing. I really enjoyed the international relations classes that I took and there is even a resident former ambassador on staff.

Fees

There are all sorts of fees. Student life and activities, for the Rec center, printing and obviously per credit hours. Tuition is based on a per credit basis. Essentially all those student fees get funneled to the student government who then plan events and disperse it to other student orgs who apply for funding for other events.
