Perfect for someone who doesn't want to live in a big city

It is a public university with a good research background. Especially in healthcare, which matched my experience. Preparation: Self-taught for exams. But I had joined Imperial overseas education for other consultation.

We have to complete 32 credit hours. The department has good courses but the number of courses is very few. Good student to faculty ratio (around 30:1). Good resources are available to students but the department is relatively small compared to other departments.

For computer science, some alumni employers work in and around Iowa city with local employers. But most graduates go to hubs like LA, and Chicago for jobs. The median salary depends on the job.

Haven't started the internship yet

Most students get a graduate assistantship. So there is full tuition funding with a stipend of around 1800$ per month. Which is enough for living expenses. I have only paid for one semester through a loan when I didn't have an assistantship.

I have obtained a Graduate assistantship in my department. Most students get a similar position. Students can reach out to teachers for RA positions. There is an English exam to qualify for teaching assistantships. That's the only qualification as far as I know.

Great campus atmosphere. It is a college town so there are mostly just students all around. Downtown gets lively on weekends.

I live off-campus and share a 3 bedroom apartment. The main advantage of my apartment is its vicinity to my department. Iowa City being a college town, everything is relatively close by. However, my apartment is close to my department and downtown Iowa City. So everything is more accessible from here. The average rent is around $450 per person if staying in a shared apartment. For studio apartments, it ranges from $600-1200 depending on amenities and distance to downtown.
