Classics majors pursue careers in management, in education, in library, archival, and museum work, in computer and mathematical occupations, and in the arts and media. Classics majors can access the UO’s digital Lowenstam Collection of Greek and Roman Archeological and Art Historical Images for study and research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have at least a B average or a 3.00-grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale.
Students who have no justification for a waiver must score the minimum required score in TOEFL iBT, IELTS.
Three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and unofficial transcripts (via online application).
The UO does not require SAT/ACT results.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Students should have an average high school academic performance of at least 60 out of 100.
Students need to meet the University of Oregon's minimum English proficiency requirements for admission.
