The Civil Engineering Technology Bachelor's degree (CETB) program is designed to prepare you to become an integral member of an engineering and construction team. As such, you?ll learn all the necessary knowledge and skills necessary to create an infrastructure that will address the engineering, economic, safety, technical, and legal requirements of a project. You will also develop your skill in the application of software applications commonly used in today?s engineering and construction industry.
The program emphasizes the practical application of construction technology and engineering principles. You?ll concentrate on the fundamentals of civil engineering and design within the context of the scientific and technical aspects of structures, materials, soils, urban planning, transportation systems, surveying, construction management and the environment. This program is also designed to instill a desire to serve and contribute to society.
The bachelor?s degree program builds upon the fundamentals gained in the associate degree and is firmly based upon the study and practical application of advanced concepts of engineering, technology, and building sciences. You?ll study advanced concepts in:
- Structural design using wood, steel, and reinforced concrete
- Site engineering and land development
- Fluid mechanics and hydrology
- Soil mechanics and foundation design
- Transportation planning and design
- Energy and natural resources
- Project planning, scheduling, and estimating; and
- Construction law
The program culminates with an independent senior thesis course. In this final term, you?ll demonstrate your understanding of and ability to utilize and synthesize the technical and engineering concepts you developed throughout your New England Tech experience.
As a graduate, you?ll be qualified to seek employment in a wide range of civil engineering and construction opportunities or further your education with a master?s degree in the field. At New England Institute of Technology, you would be able to continue to pursue your graduate degree in Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Applied Design.

- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Submit two-three letters of recommendation from teacher, coaches, mentors etc who know your academic abilities and personality
- Submitting 300-500 word open topic essay
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
