The Genetics major offers a solid foundation in biological principles with specialized courses to allow an understanding of genetics at the molecular, cellular, organismal, and evolutionary levels. With a degree in Genetics, you will be a valuable addition to work involved with genetic engineering, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and environmental science, as well as related to gene therapy, ancestry research, and genetic counseling. Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other educational institution attended
- Complete a secondary school report given by the university
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an accredition agency like WES, SpanTran or ECE
- Submit one recommendation letter from a teacher, coach or supervisor
- Submit one essay
- Students are encouraged to appear in an interview
- Submit a statement of activities highlighting what you are doing since completion of high school
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

- TOEFL: minimum score of 79 in iBT; 8.0+ in Essentials
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.5
- PTE: minimum score of 53
- MELAB: minimum 91
- Duolingo: minimum score of 110
