Here, you’ll acquire the knowledge, refine the character and practice the skills you'll need to help students develop to their full potential.

Capital’s teacher education program features a host of on-campus classes and clinical experiences, as well as observations and field-based experiences in schools. Field-based experiences are completed in a variety of different cultural settings and at different grade levels. Because of our location in the thriving capital city of Columbus, there are a number of urban, suburban and rural school districts, as well as national and state agencies, within a short distance of Capital.

The professional education program begins your first year. As early as the sophomore year, education students have opportunities to experience working with learners in diverse school and community settings during which they observe and participate in instructional responsibilities.
