Due to their multidisciplinary backgrounds, biomedical engineers have diverse research interests, often acting as liaisons between technological and clinical communities.

Biomedical Engineering offers degrees of Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy with more than 90 faculty mentors to choose from within colleges such as:

  • Engineering
  • Medicine
  • Veterinary medicine.

Students also may pursue an MD/PhD degree administered jointly through the College of Medicine and the Graduate School. The combined BS/MS program is an option for high-achieving Ohio State undergraduates.
