Northeastern Illinois University Programs
The programs at NEI are offered along the levels of of bachelor’s, master’s, certificate and licensure/endorsement courses. At present, the institute offers more than 60 undergraduate major and minor courses and 37 master’s programs. There are honors program for academically prospective students having an ACT score of 25 or minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (~89-90%).
The academic majors and minors are categorized under three schools namely, College Of Arts And Sciences, Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education and College of Graduate Studies and Research. NEIU also offers International Exchange programs cooperatively with over 40 partner universities. The Student Center for Science Engagement offers mentoring, tutoring, professional development, summer research opportunities, scientific conferences specifically for science students.
Northeastern Illinois University Campus and Accommodations
The institute has five campuses providing different programs and services to the students. The main campus is located in a residential area on the Northwest side of Chicago. The other 4 locations are:
- Jacob H. Carruthers Center– a focal point for the African-American community, this campus provides programs for Inner City Studies and prepares the student to study the interests of the residents of Chicago along with participating in the rich Afro-American cultures.

Northeastern provides on-campus student housing facility for local, national, as well as international students.
