- Students take 18 credits in core nursing courses and 15 credits in the family nurse practitioner concentration that covers advanced coursework in health assessment, pharmacology, and pathophysiology; plus courses on health promotion, disease prevention and management, and differential diagnosis. Students are required to complete a minimum of 600 faculty-supervised clinical hours.
- Upon completion of this track, you will be eligible for family nurse practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and will be able to apply for licensure as an NP in Massachusetts.
