The major provides a flexible course of study and interdisciplinary education experience to help you explore your areas of interest and prepare you for graduate-level education or a career in health care. Students have the opportunity to make an impact while they study as they regularly present their original research at regional conferences.

The major educates students for a variety of careers in health care, including employment in fields such as public health, wellness services, health insurance, hospital administration, pharmaceutical sales, elder services, scientific writing, and research. The major also serves students who know they want to work in health care, but need more time to explore the options available to them.
