Eastern?s Bachelor?s in Journalism and Writing program has been designed to help students gain the skills and knowledge they need to effectively and creatively tell stories. From print journalism and writing labs to creative writing and short stories, students within this program will learn how to best tell stories using a variety of styles and tones.

Students will also learn about editing, publishing and design to ensure that they have the knowledge they need to be fully prepared for their future careers.

Within this program, you?ll have the opportunity to tailor your degree to best fit your career goals. You?ll have the opportunity to choose between courses like Poetry Writing or Persuasion and Argumentation, Featuring Writing and Beat Reporting or Writing for Stage and Screen, Writing Autobiography or Promotional Writing, and more so that your degree best reflects your passions and future career.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

  • Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
  • Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency like SpanTran, IEE
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from counselor or teacher
  • Submit a brief essay in 250 words describing yourself and your desire to pursue education at the college
  • Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
  • Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL: minimum score of 70
  • IELTS: minimum score of 6.0
  • Duolingo: minimum 95
