Elizabethtown College Campus and Accommodation

Elizabethtown College operates on a 204-acre main campus in Elizabethtown, a short drive away from Hershey, Harrisburg, the city of Lancaster and PA Dutch County. The campus includes academic buildings, residential halls, fitness & wellbeing centers, performance venues and galleries.

There are about 76 clubs and student organizations that enable students to enrich their lives, hone their skill sets, and increase their networking opportunities. Elizabethtown College has 24 NCAA Division III athletic teams and offers several club and intramural sports.

Housing Facilities/Residence

It is not compulsory for International students to live on campus and they can opt for off-campus housing. Nonetheless, more than 85% of the students live on campus in residence halls, apartments, townhouses, and on-campus houses.

  • There are six residence halls, which are Brinser, Founders, Myer, Ober, Royer and Schlosser, and two Independent Living Units (ILUs) - Hackman Apartments and Schreiber Quadrangle - on campus.
  • The College also has several single-family homes, called Student-Directed Learning Communities (SDLCs), around the perimeter of campus. Groups of upper class students can opt for living in these homes, where they can spend the academic year serving out a mission of the house’s theme.
  • Students can also opt for Living Learning Communities (LLCs) where students with a common interest or course can live in the same residence and plan activities together. A few residence halls are home to such LLCs.
