Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Environmental Studies] From Berry College

Environmental Studies explores human engagement with the biophysical world in diverse settings, including urban, agricultural and less-managed ?natural? environments. This focus reflects the growing awareness that in an increasingly interdependent, globalized world, meaningful approaches to solving the planet?s environmental problems will require perspectives that take into consideration economic, cultural, social, historical and geographic variables. The environmental challenges we face today require changes in our perceptions of human-environment relationships and, ultimately, in how we think of relationships between humans. The Environmental Studies minor prepares students for just such approaches.
