Allegheny College International Admissions

The college attracts international students from about 40 countries. Though the application process is the same for the international and the native applicants, international students have to meet a few more requirements and submit some documents.

Allegheny College Transfer Student Admissions

Allegheny College invites transfer students in both seasons. The transfer students can get merit-based scholarships of up to 37,000 USD. All the transfer students get the facility of on-campus student housing in US. The admission requirements for transfer students are as follows:

  • A GPA above 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is preferred (~78-79%).
  • Only grade C (~73-76%) and above are transferable in acceptable courses.
  • Evaluation of transcripts are required.
  • Associate degrees are accepted based on the majors and evaluation of each program.
  • Technical courses are not transferable.

Visa Process for International Applicants

Admitted international students will need a US student visa. Documents required for the process include:

  • Passport
  • SEVIS form DS-2019
  • US visa stamp
  • Evidence of financial support
  • Proof of permanent address outside the US

There are the following steps for the visa process

In order to fulfill financial considerations, international students need to certify that they have an amount of at least 67,500 USD which is to cover their expenses for the first year of the program.

Allegheny College Undergraduate Admissions

Early Decision applicants may only submit Regular Decision/non-binding applications to other colleges and universities. If admitted to Allegheny College under the Early Decision Plan, students must submit the 400 USD enrollment deposit and withdraw all applications from other colleges/universities.
