A political science major provides excellent preparation for a wide range of fields, including law, government and community service, journalism, management, policy making, finance and communications.
Political science majors take a minimum of nine courses in the department: eight core courses and one elective course. Majors take a senior seminar in the term prior to graduation.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school if high school not yet completed
- Submit high school completion certificate if high school is completed
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 213 in CBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
