Washington College offers more than one way to earn your nursing degree. You could earn a bachelor of science degree at Washington College first and apply to the nursing schools of your choice, or opt for our 3:2 program that awards two bachelor?s degrees.
We have partnered with the University of Maryland to offer a dual-degree approach that you can complete in five years. This approach allows you to enjoy the full benefit of a liberal arts experience while fulfilling the prerequisites for entrance into one of these top nursing schools.
The first three years are spent here, where nursing students typically major in biology or psychology. Both nursing programs recommend that you participate in a nursing internship program.
Some students elect to complete the bachelor?s degree at Washington College before admission to nursing school. The prerequisites for nursing schools differ slightly for these students, who may then complete the BS or MS in nursing.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Submit a letter of recommendation from counselor
- Submit one letters of recommendation from teacher
- Submit a personal essay
- Submit a resume
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 90 in ibt;
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 115
- PTE: minimum 53
