With an acceptance rate of around 53%, the institute is one of the competitive colleges of the US Education System.

Some of the salient points to be taken note of regarding the admissions process at Sarah Lawrence College are as listed below.

  • Admissions at the institute take place during the 3 intakes of fall, spring and summer.
  • Applicants must deposit a nonrefundable fee of 60 USD when seeking admission.
  • The GPA requirement for being eligible at the college is 3.71 or above.
  • Other Factors contributing to the admission process include essays, letter of recommendation, school reports and the rigor of high school coursework.
  • Standardized tests (such as the ACT and SAT), interviews, and artistic supplements are optional for admission.
  • While submitting portfolios, candidates need to first choose the option in the common application.

Candidates must note that the optional documents in no way hinder a candidate’s admission and thus, a candidate must try to score a good GPA while in high school as that’s the most competitive aspect of seeking enrollment at the college. Though SAT/ACT scores are optional but could enhance one’s application if above average.
