IIM Jammu PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) is a Full-time, Doctoral Program. Candidates with a Master’s Degree are eligible to apply for the program. IIM Jammu PhD intake is 20. IIM Jammu PhD Students receive a stipend of INR 35,000 per month in the 1st & 2nd year and INR 40,000 per month in the 3rd & 4th year.

IIM Jammu PhD Selection Criteria

• Master’s Degree (Bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a master’s degree) or a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in any discipline, with at least 60% marks in the Bachelor’s as well as in the Master’s degree.
• Professional Qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 50% marks.
• 5-Year / 4-Year Integrated Master’s degree program in any discipline, with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing Higher Secondary Schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
• 4-Year / 8 Semester Bachelor's Degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent marks.
• Students in their Final Year of Examination can also apply.

Step 1:

Candidates are Shortlisted based on their valid scores in CAT / GATE / GRE / GMAT / JRF / NET - UGC / CSIR for Personal Interview (PI) process.

Shortlisted Candidates are called for Personal Interview for Final Selection. Final Merit List is prepared based on Personal Interview, Research Aptitude & Publications and Reference Letter, Academic Qualification and Relevant Work Experience.

IIM Jammu PhD Admission: How to Apply?

IIM Jammu is accepting applications for PhD Program. Interested Candidates can register on or before April 30, 2023 on the official website. To fill the application form for PhD, check the steps below:

1. Click on Apply Online.
2. Fill in all the details and provide CAT / GATE / GRE / GMAT / JRF / NET - UGC / CSIR Scores with the necessary documents.
3. Pay the amount of INR 1,000/- (INR 500/- in case of SC / ST / EWS & DAP Category Candidates) (Non-refundable) towards Application Fees to complete the application process.

Documents Required:

• Self-attested copies of Class X, XII, Graduation and Post-Graduation Degrees.
• Self-attested copies of mark sheets or transcripts of grades obtained in Class X, XII, Graduation and Post-Graduation degrees.
• Transcripts in languages other than Hindi and English must be submitted along with certified translations.
• Percentage conversion certificate from College/University (In case of CGPA/CPA).
• Degrees must be recognised by UGC/AIU.
• Two references with their contact details and Email IDs from academicians who have taught the candidate or with whom the candidate has worked closely on scholarly work. However, the supervisor at work could write a reference, if the candidate has been away from the university for a long period. 
• Self-attested Copies of Work Experience Certificate (if any).
• Self-attested Copies of the Caste Certificate (if applicable) 
• Self-attested Copies of the DAP Certificate (if applicable)
• Self-attested Copies of the EWS Certificate (if applicable)
