IIIT Naya Raipur offers admission in B.Tech courses in 3 different disciplines, B.Tech (ECE), B.Tech (CSE), and B. Tech. (Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) with each having a total intake of 60 seats. 35% Seats to the eligible candidates are allocated on the basis of JoSAA counselling. 15% seats in IIIT Naya Raipur are reserved for people employed in NTPC and 50% seats are reserved for students who have passed class 10 & 12 from Chattisgarh. Seats under All India Quota will be filled through JoSAA counselling and hence applicants need to apply on JoSAA official website. IIIT Naya Raipur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
Admissions under All India Quota, Chattisgarh State Quota and NTPC Quota are granted on the basis of JEE Main rank. Further, IIIT Naya Raipur accepts admission to B.Tech program on the basis of following criteria, check below:
- All India Quota - Eligibility will be as per the rules of JoSAA.
- Chhattisgarh State Quota - Applicants who passed both class 10 & 12 and 12 from schools of Chhattisgarh are eligible. Candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates) in their 12th standard examination. The reservation for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories shall be as per Chhattisgarh Government norms.
- Women – 30%
- Children of Ex-Servicemen – 3%
- Children or Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters – 3%
- Persons with Disabilities – 5%
- NTPC Quota- Candidates employed with NTPC or their wards belong to this category. Those candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates) in their 12 standard examinations.
Age Criteria
Candidates born after October 01, 1992 are only eligible to apply for this program. A relaxation of 3-years is also applicable for candidates belonging to for reserved category.

Registration process for Candidates applying via JoSAA
Candidates seeking admission under All India Quota must apply through JoSAA. Admission under different categories is based on the JEE Main rank. Students can follow the procedure given below to apply for IIIT Naya Raipur:
- Visit JoSAA website for registration i.e. josaa.nic.in.
- Fill the JoSAA form by providing the preferred selection of colleges and courses.
- JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will conduct counselling for the candidates who have qualified JEE Main.
Note: The counselling procedure is based on the merit of the candidate in the written exam and the options filled by the candidates at the time of online option filling.
Registration process for Candidates applying via Chhattisgarh quota and NTPC Quota
Under NTPC and Chattisgarh Quota students can apply through the institute’s online portal. Applications can be made in online mode only by paying a non-refundable counseling fee of INR 300.

IIIT Naya Raipur B.Tech Counselling Process
JoSAA Counselling
JoSAA will conduct seat allocation procedure for the academic programs offered by 92 JEE Main Participating Institutes. The authority releases multiple merit lists in order to complete the seat allotment process. Once the seat allocation is complete, students seeking admission to IIIT Naya Raipur need to confirm their seats.
Candidates can confirm their seats to IIIT Naya Raipur by following the given procedure:
- Visit JoSAA official website.
- Login to your JoSAA account by providing correct credentials.
- If you are offered a seat at IIIT Naya Raipur, choose to freeze the seat by paying the acceptance fees.
- Make a payment of INR 15,000 (For reserved categories)/ INR 35,000 (For General category) by any of the following methods of SBI ie. Online Banking / Debit Card/ E-Challan.
- After successful documents verification, contact the admission authority of IIIT Naya Raipur within 10 days of seat allotment for admission formalities.

Counselling for Chhattisgarh quota and NTPC quota
Candidates qualifying the above-mentioned norms of seat allocation in Chattisgarh Quota and NTPC quota have to register themselves at the Institution website.
Once, registration is done, candidates have to appear in the seat allotment process. Candidates who will be allotted the seat in the first round of seat allotment have to have to report at their nearest center for document verification. At the time of document verification, students have to present all the required documents mentioned below, original with a photocopy.
Applicants failing to secure a seat in the first round of seat allotment, have to wait for the second merit list.
